The high definition television, also known as HDTV, is an evolution of standard television. The HDTV brings pictures with high resolution on the television screen, images that have resolution twice higher than those transmitted by analog TV or DVDs. The projector can be simply placed on the table or mounted to the ceiling with the use of a projector mount. The images will look best when projected onto a high quality projector screen, although in some cases, a front projection can be done with just a flat wall with special paint.

A rear projection system, on the other hand, are more like traditional televisions. This is because the images are displayed from the back of the screen, with the projector being contained within the television. A rear projection system can also be set up with a projector screen and a projector in some cases.

For those who would like to buy HDTV projectors, they have to keep in mind that they must not forget to check its compatibility with their current owned systems such as DVD players, VCRs and standard television systems. When ensured that the HDTV projector is compatible with the other systems, then it will display images with high definition, giving the viewers the ambiance and feel of a theater.
